Grada 14 or Grada 15?

Both halves of the Foro Sol face the podium. The difference is shade, a sliver of Turn 12 and the gate you use.

Quick answer

Grada 14 (south, Gris zone, Puerta 2) is the shadier half and fully shaded by 14:00. Grada 15 (north, Café zone, Puerta 1) gets more sun but its GNP01–09 sections also see Turn 12.1,2,3

How to choose

  • If shade matters most, pick Grada 14: it faces north and the guide reports it fully shaded by 14:00.1
  • If you want a little more track, pick a GNP01–GNP09 section of Grada 15 for the exit of Turn 12.2
  • Either way you are watching the slowest corners: you choose these stands for the crowd and the podium, not for overtaking.1,2
  • Tickets are three-day passes with numbered seats, and you stay in the place on your ticket all three days.5

Cushions are banned. Fan guides suggest bringing something soft for the concrete steps, but the promoter's security list bans seat backs and seat pads (item 27) and chairs (item 28). A folded jacket is allowed (item 16 of the allowed list).1,6
